For CFMC, missions are not about where we go - MISSIONS IS WHO WE ARE. Our members would say we are passionate about our mission in the world for Jesus Christ. Every week we are about feeding the hungry, clothing those in need, helping people in crisis, making repairs for the disabled, financing a cure for cancer, and supporting missionaries worldwide. We do it all in the name of Jesus because He first loved us. Come and join in the fun because this is a place where you can make a difference.
The mission team from our church went to Belize October 18-25. We were hosted by Pastor Charles Mulemena, who we have partnered with and supported for several years. While in Believe we met Pastor Charles’s family, visited the schools operated by the 2 churches Pastor Charles serves as pastor, did Bible school in 2 communities, tiled the cement floor and painted the exterior of 1 church, and attended worship services at both churches. We were blessed by our interactions with the people of Belize, especially the children. We were able to put faces and stories to the needs, both physical and spiritual. There is great need to provide money for children who do not eat lunch because their family cannot afford it. There is great need to share the Gospel with the people in Belize. There is great need to support Pastor Charles and his family in the important work they are doing to minister there. I invite you and encourage you to give financially toward these needs. Donations can be made out to the church with a note indicating what need it is for.
Each Thursday at 1 p.m. during the school year members of our church along with people from the community come together in the Fincher Family Life Center gym to put together sacks of snacks for children in need in Murray County Elementary Schools. The sacks are sent home with the children on Fridays to sustain them on weekends. This year, thousands of sacks were shared.
The King's Clothesline is open on Thursdays from 2-4 (only monthly through the summer) and by appointment all year long. The clothesline has clothes for all ages and is offered freely. Call CFMC at 706-696-3211 for an individual appointment.
At CFMC we have our own RELAY FOR LIFE team. Each year we raise a few thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society while blessing those who have survived cancer along with their caregivers. Being a part of this team is a lot of fun, and we invite you to honor those who have been lost to cancer, who are battling cancer or have survived cancer. You can do a lot with your prayers, your gifts, and your time within this team.
This local not-for-profit provides support to Murray County families in crisis - demonstrating love through action. CFMC is just one of many churches and community businesses and organizations that support Murray County residents that are in crisis. Support provided may include prayer, financial assistance, food, and/or a referral to another agency that can meet their needs.
